Great wee day, pity about it bein so cold! I stayed in the car near the whole time!

for those who didnt go here's my two pence lol... i didnt include names as i posted this on another forum and just copied it for here..

welll we at ni-vaux had our monthly meet yesterday at oxford island so after meeting up with folks at the odyssey we set off. Onto the westlink were the road works start and the speed limits have been changed so we are going 30 mph and 40mph as the speed changes. Bare in mind some people got stopped at the traffic lights so we were going that speed to keep everyone together.

A little bit down the road we look behind us and notice a nice big 40 footer stuck on the bumper of the VXR Zafira( which has 4 children in the back) behind us so we pulled into the other lane to speak to the zafira driver and the lorry driver is behind flashin the lights and beeping his horn and the usual hand gesters. So we get off the westlink and onto the motor way were we are going 70 the lorry driver has now started to pass some of us but while doing so he is swirving the lorry towards us and causing us to go onto the hard shoulder and towards barriers etc at one stage the lorry driver was trying to come up the inside of us up the hard shoulder he even hit some of the road work signs. So a little down the road the zafira driver waves the lorry driver over and he does so. when both drivers got out there was a bit of pushin and shoving etc but the lory driver held the other guy by the shoulders as if he was going to push him onto the motorway traffic so his wive jumps outta the zafira and trys to pull the two apart on which the lorry driver turns round and punch's her on the side of the head. at this point about all 10 cars that were on convoy had stopped along the hard shoulder and everyone had went to brake up wot ever was started. One of us jumped into the cab and took the keys out so the lorry driver wasnt able to drive away and waited for the police to come.

The police came and listened to both sides of the stories and took everyones details etc and they informed us that passing motorists had reported a gang of people attacking a lorry driver on the M1 and another person apparently reported that the zafira driver had the lorry driver in a head lock bare in mind this happened right infront of the lorry and passing drivers are going 70mph maybe more..

But anyway things were sorted with the police and we got on our way to our meet, Only thing is those little kids will always remember the sight of their mother being hit by a lorry driver etc

dunno maybe tired and in a rush to get somewere...

was a good day except for the lorry driver being a t.w.a.t. hope everyone involved is ok

have to say to was a real good day . crack was good . shame the lorry driver spoiled the convoy .

sorry we didnt stop but seen the cops and didnt know what was happening till paula phoned.
