Hello guys, I'm starting to plan a trip to the ring next year and would like to know if anyone would be up for a long weekend of racing and boozing in Germany! I'm just getting some prices together and maybe if I can get a group of us to go I could try and get us a discount. I'll also be using some friends in the army to get us discount on fuel as well which works out at about 6.6euros for 10ltrs(they only come in batches of 10ltr)! This is slightly over priced as I'm not sure on the rate of discount for fuel the army gets this year or the rate it'll be next year.

The idea is to travel on a Thursday night and head back on the Monday, which will included racing on the ring, gokarting and lots of drinking or maybe you just want to go do you're own thing thats grand. I lived out in germany for 4 years and know that part fairly well so if you want to go drinking somewhere with the other and you're not sure where ask me! there isn't many places I haven't had a drink lol ;).

I'll do all the planning and as long as you're not fussed where you put you're head down at night I'll try and make it as cheap as I can, if you want to make you're own arrangements where you sleep let me know as I'll still try if I can get a discount on the ferrys across.

The only information I need at the mo is those who is keen on going so that I can get some numbers. Please can you put it in this format just for the ease of read:

Anyone is welcome even if they are not from NI-Vaux I just need names but only members from NI-Vaux will be getting the fuel discount as they are limited to what I can get.

No way is that a boys weekend all are welcome and I'm sure the guys here are flexable to do some shopping or what ever the girls on the site would like, we are not to far from Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Essen and Koln which each are about the size of london so there is plenty to see and do also in July when the sun is out it's about 48C+ so nice weather = nice tans ;). You have to get you're tigra on the burg how many people do you know have a burg lap time ;).

A guess of the top off my head for the weekend which includes everything I would say about £450 to £500 so thats you're return ferrys, fuel, B&B, food and drink for the weekend

ok guys the prices are the following

Belfast - Stran
£130 return

Dover - Calais
£74 return

Hotel for 3 nights cost £70.94

A guessament on fuel for a return would be about:
£240 = 6 tank fulls, I've work that out as £40 per refill and also how hard we will be driving, the fuel is slightly cheaper in euro land.

Race prices are:

1 Lap - £14.56
25 Lap - £257 that = to £10.28 Per Lap

My plan is to do 15 Laps at a cost of £163 and I'll split them up over the day, 2 = 20 mins all down to how good you are ;)

Total Price for me is £677.94 and I'm also going to bring £250 spending money for food, drink and fuel for the track day.

life long dream to hit the 'ring mate!...all be it in my heavy smoke burner! but yea how bout even setting up like a saving scheme for 2010?? that way u could pay like a tenner a week or so and sure whos gonna miss a tenner a week (whats that get u now like a pack of smokes and a red bull with a few shiney coppers to rattle in the pocket! lol)

Thats a very good idea! When I plan this for summer 2010 it'll be about 18 months from now so if you where to put £40 a month away 40*18= £720 that would be more than planty to cya you there and back and lots of fuel money :). I think I'm gonna use my paypal account to save my money I know what I'm like if I leave it in my account lol
