Just got some Jamex Lowering Springs for my 04 1.6 Mk4 Astra which will lower it by 40mm and I don't know what I should be looking for to get them fitted price wise. I enquired to a few garages and it ranges from £50-£450. Anybody know anywhere reccomended? I don't wanna be ripped off obviously but I don't want a bodge job either...
my bf is a machinac he would do it he has fitted millions and would be cheep too if you wanted... we are in newtownabbey tho that might be far .. i would not pay anymore than 50 tho !!
It doesn't stop at just lowering the car. It is recommended that you get the wheel alignment done to suit the new ride height. or you will end up replacing the tyres before thier time and also end wearing out the ball joints and other suspension parts etc. In most cases the alignment is ok after lowering but it is best to keep yourself right. I learned the hard way and broke a ball joint, Lukily i wasn't going that quick.
Living just outside moira at the mo like, was hoping to get it done sometime soon, i've got the Jamex springs and been told that I can use them with the shock absorbers
Have a look on ebay you get some really good deals on there from good companies, mine cost me £45 on bids like but you can get the Buy it Now options...
