Two speed cameras for the price of one thats what traffic enforcement agencies get with this new gizmo. Its the worlds first fixed and mobile unit.
Inside the housing is a traditional camera that can capture images of vehicles over three lanes of traffic. But when police want to shift it to another spot, they simply open the box and lift out the inner workings.
Officers can either attach it to a tripod or mount in a patrol car for pursuit situations. The system has been developed by German firm Vitronic using its existing PoliScan system. The first units have been sent to transport chiefs in Lithuania. There are no plans for use on UK roads yet, but police chiefs are sure to be interested as a way of keeping costs down.
lol rory i'm not shy on sticking my foot down either but still got a clean license but as a old work mate used to say i'd rather be late in this world than early into the next 07
