This was my first road car.1.4 16v merit.It belonged to the fire service before i got it so there were no cobwebs on it!lol.Done a brave bit o work on it.My bro crashed his white sport so i bought it off him an transfered the parts onto mine.The windows, interior apart from the dash,bootlid,bumpers,aerial,wheels...for a while,mirrors and sport badges. Then put on a gsi exhaust and spoiler and got eibach springs kyb shocks and a pipercross viper filter for it.Took the v out of the grill and put in mesh.Clear repeaters off a corsa.Have the pipercross filter in my 1.6 now so just have a k&n panel filter in it.
doin a practice navigation rally in this tomo nite.got the sport alloys onto it..an osram nightbreaker headlamps in.headin out now to get a sump guard on it. Everybody cross their fingers that i dont prang it!!My bro is out in his gsi aswell.
Man im glad i got the sump guard on!!!Must have bottomed out about 100 times.You wanna heard the slap after i landed from one of the jumps!Car would have been wrecked only for it. Anyway...managed to stay out of the ditches an finished in second place...lost first by one point.Ahwell was only a practice so didnt really matter.Pleased enough.
